Overview
Peninsula Medical School, part of the University of Plymouth, is a great place to study. Students benefit from the close relationships with principal NHS hospital partners, as well as the fantastic facilities such as the CSRC – Clinical Skills Resource Centre. You will have contact with real patients from the outset with a clinical placement starting in the first two weeks of year 1.
Interview invites are sent on the basis of meeting the minimum entry requirements and scoring highly enough in either the UCAT or GAMSAT (for graduate applicants). Therefore, Peninsula Medical School is a great option if you have the minimum required grades but not higher, yet have performed very well in the UCAT or GAMSAT, as you stand a high chance of securing an all important interview.

| Teaching style | Traditional/Integrated The first two years will focus on your core scientific foundations of medicine within a clinical context. You will start a series of single placements in your 2nd year. Your 3rd and 4th years will focus more on clinical practice and spending time in a patient-centred learning environment.
