Hi there!
I’m Kalana Kasthuriarachchi, a medical student at the University of Naples Federico II. My journey into medicine has been fueled by resilience, hard work, and a passion for helping others achieve their dreams. If you’re looking for a tutor who’s been through the challenges you’re facing and knows how to overcome them, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
I’ve had personal experience preparing for one of the most competitive exams, the IMAT (International Medical Admissions Test). In the first time facing the IMAT exam, I scored 45, falling short of admission. However, I didn’t give up—instead, I worked tirelessly to improve and, in my second attempt, achieved an exceptional **78.3 out of 90**, ranking **second at my university** and placing **in the top 60 globally**. This journey taught me perseverance and the strategies needed to excel, and I’m excited to share them with you.
Why choose me as your tutor?
– Proven Results: My own success story shows I know how to prepare effectively.
– Strong Science Background: I studied chemistry at the University of Kelaniya and hold a Diploma in Psychology Counseling.

I specialize in:

– Study Techniques: Personalized plans to make the most of your study time.

Ambitious and friendly student looking to help others ACE the IMAT!
As an Irish student, I found it difficult to find help for the exam as it didn’t seem like a popular choice amongst Irish school leavers. I’d love to pass on the wisdom I’ve gained from my own preparation to do well in the exam and getting into my dream course at the University of Turin to study Medicine.
From studying the clinical sciences at third level I’ve gained an in-depth knowledge of the topics covered in the IMAT. My teaching focuses on thorough understanding rather than learning by rote. No potential topic will be left uncovered and much focus will be given to topics that come up every year.
Having sat the exam twice and learned from my own mistakes I’ll provide tried and tested strategies to tackle the paper head-on!
I am Alaa , a 23 year old medical student. I tried getting into medical schools two times in Lebanon and failed. I discovered the opportunity of studying in Italy by chance and took the risk to apply. I succeeded and got in with a very good score after three years of suffer and effort. I truly believe that hard work and effort are never gone and determinant people will get the success they dream of in the most beautiful outstanding way. I cannot start my day without reading this:” Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations”.
I believe a lot in self help and mastering life with a healthy mindset.
I live currently in Bergamo, Italy. I am in love and passionate for doing and learning new things in life.
I know Arabic, English and a bit of Italian. I love reading motivational and inspiring books in my bad days.
Hi my name is Vishal! I am a graduate medic at University of Swansea having finished my undergrad in Physics and Philosophy. As someone who’s applied for medicine 3 times, I can only empathise towards the difficulties that lie in the way of achieving that goal of become doctor, and its my aim to help you get there!
Having taken the GAMSAT, UCAT and IMAT, I have a good understanding of how the aptitude tests used in medicine work and what is expected. Having already taken the UCAT and IMAT previously, I was able to apply my knowledge to get in the top 7% of all GAMSAT applicants in my first attempt of sitting the exam.
Aside from aptitude tests, I also tutor GCSE to A level Maths and Physics, having completed a joint physics degree I have experienced a lot of what maths and physics can throw at you and aim to help students achieve the grade that they want. Physics and Maths were not always easy for me, I really struggled at it while I was in school but after implementing certain techniques I went from someone getting Cs at A level to getting a first in almost every assessed physics module at uni.
Hi, I’m Raul!
I’m currently in fourth year at BSMS. So far I have helped students with UCAT, BMAT, IMAT, HUMAT and with their interview techniques. I have taught students from all across the world – including places like Japan, Qatar, Poland and many students from the UK.
At A-level, I did chemistry, biology and English literature which I found worked well for the essay components of the course. Getting the right balance between revising for A-levels and applying to medicine can be difficult but it is important to remember that both need focus.
I’m have just finished a BSc in Global health at the University of Manchester as a year out of medicine. As part of the course, I spent the whole of January in Mumbai completing my own research project. The course was really relaxed and it was a needed break from the intensity of medicine. I’d recommend choosing a uni course with the option to intercalate in case it’s something you might want to go for down the line.
I have loved medicine and I know the journey there is long and it can be difficult to see the end, but it is worth it. The degree is engaging and the work is manageable. It’s been some of the best years of my life and it’s a joy to watch students begin the same journey.
