Medic Mind Tutoring Terms of Service

Agreement

By signing up on the 1-1 Tutoring program with Medic Mind (“Program”) you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”).

Medic Mind reserves the right to update and change the Terms of Service from time to time however will inform the client if so.

Violation of any of the terms below will result in the termination of your enrolment.

Data Protection and Privacy

In respect of any Personal Data (as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “1998 Act”)) processed by Medic Mind and the Tutor pursuant to these Client Terms, both parties warrant that they shall comply and will continue to comply with the Data Protection Legislation and any regulations made thereunder (including but not limited to the Data Protection Principles, as defined in the Data Protection Legislation).

All personal data is kept confidentially and only on a need-to-know basis. Further information can be found here: Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

24 Hour Cancellation Policy

We have a 24 Hour Cancellation Policy. If students cancel a lesson less than 24h in advance they will be charged for the duration of the lesson as the tutor has taken time out to teach you. This also applies to being more than 20 minutes late, as tutors will have other students scheduled.

Medic Mind will make every effort to ensure each student is able to avail all of their hours. It is the student and tutor’s responsibility to ensure that a lesson which is cancelled or delayed, either by fault of the tutor or student, is rearranged promptly. The student should contact Medic Mind immediately if there are any concerns with re-scheduling to ensure no inconvenience is caused.

Invoicing for Additional Hours

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they do not undertake more hours than they have booked. Tutors will log the exact time spent on the Skype call. For example, if a lesson is scheduled to be 2 hours but runs to 2 hours 15 minutes instead, this will be logged as an additional 15 minutes. If students find they are approaching close to their limit, they should message the Medic Mind team who will happily arrange more hours if needed. If students undertake more hours than they have originally booked without informing the team, they will be charged £35/h plus an additional £25 fee for going over.

Unenrolling from Medic Mind

Medic Mind 1-1 Tutoring Lessons are non-refundable. This is because Medic Mind takes into account bookings for scheduling, pricing and online course materials that are given to each student.

The hours can be used at any point over the next 3 years for UCAT, BMAT, Interview, A-level, GCSE. The client can also transfer these to family and friends too.

If the student wants to voluntarily leave the program early or did not use up their hours, the maximum refund they will receive is £10 per hour.

In the case of unforseen circumstances such as ill-health, Medic Mind would consider making an exception on the basis of evidence provided by the client.

General

The failure of Medic Mind to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. The Terms of Service constitutes the entire agreement between you and Medic Mind and govern your use of the Service, superceding any prior agreements between you and Medic Mind (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).
