Hi everyone! My name is Shruthi and I am a 4th year medical student at University College London. Over the last couple of years I have been tutoring various aspects of the medical application process including the admission tests, interview preparation and personal statement help. Having successfully achieved in the top deciles in both the UCAT and BMAT I am confident that I will be able to guide my tutees to reach their full potential and have done so before. Medicine is a lifelong learning process and I believe that while teaching my students I will also continue to fine-tune and refine my teaching – there is no one size fits all approach to tutoring and my teaching is personalised to the student I am tutoring. I hope you enjoy going through my profile and I look forward to work with you soon!
I like to ensure that my students understand the concepts behind what I am teaching first. I do this by gauging how they learn, then making a plan to teach them in a way that is most appropriate for them. I find that it is very important that lessons are kept interactive in order to make learning interesting and I believe that there is no one size fits all approach to tutoring.
I have tutored iGCSE, GCSEs and A-Level content for a few years now, and recently started guiding students through the medical application process.
Between Year 10 to Year 11 I moved back to England from India and completed 18 GCSEs/iGCSEs over the course of 2 years in which I achieved 16A*s and 2As.
