Hi there! My name is Avinaash and I’m a 1st year medical student at the University of Bristol. I have achieved 8 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s at GCSE, as well as 3 As at A-Level in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and have also completed an EPQ. Furthermore, I scored 2930 in my UCAT with a score of 880 in QR and 700 in DM. I have completed interviews for Sheffield, Newcastle, Bristol and Liverpool.
I really enjoy tutoring! It is difficult to describe the feeling of pride when a student finally cracks a concept or tells me how well they did on that test they were so worried about. While I have little experience in tutoring students for university admissions or interviews, I am certain that I will do my absolute best to see my students succeed and realise their potential. There may be obstacles on the way, but every student’s academic journey is different and I hope I can play a part in making that journey easier.
I like to employ an interactive, student centred approach to teaching. Rather than just throwing information and questions at a student, I think it’s important to adapt to their specific strengths and weaknesses to engage them as much as possible and provide an experience tailored to each student.
I have previously been employed as a teaching assistant at Kumon Study Centre and worked there for 2 years during my A Levels.
