1About Me
Hi! My Name is Salma & I’m a first-year medical student at the University of Sunderland- I specialise in medical school interviews and that’s where I have the most knowledge and will be able to help you out the most! I’ve had lots of practice in both doing interviews and conducting mock interviews and interview practice, I’ve done interviews and received offers from 2 UK universities (Sunderland and QUB) and also from the university of medical sciences and technology (UMST)
I’m at a stage now where I’ve been through it and I want to use what I have learnt to help out others! I know how tough and how stressful the process can be but hopefully I can take away some of the stress of the process from you and give you the chance to develop a couple of skills that will make the interview process easier!
My teaching style
I’m really flexible in my teaching style- I like to start off by asking my students what they would like to focus on and where they think their strengths and weaknesses lie- and then I like to run through the different areas that might come up so I can get a better idea of where the student is at and what I can do to help! Its all centered around the student and what you as a student need to help your learning rather than following a generalised approach for everyone
My past experience
I used to run an interview society while applying the first time in school- where I presented various interview topics, ran MMI’s etc
I’ve also taught in a lot of other settings and volunteering related to after school clubs, Arabic school and more!
My Proudest Achievements
I would have to say my proudest achievement is getting into medicine, it was definitely a process, but well worth it in the end! I hope I can help you do the same!!
