3About Me
Hi there!
My name is Ritu and I’m a fourth-year medical student at the Hull York Medical School. I have been tutoring part-time alongside my degree so I have plenty of experience in teaching. I received four offers from both UCAT and BMAT universities. Having recently been through the application process to medical school myself, I understand how stressful it can be and I have a laid-back student-led approach to teaching. Also, I have first-hand experience in sitting the new MMI style interviews and the new spec Maths GCSEs so I can teach from my own personal experience. I am really enjoying my time at medical school, I opted to attend a PBL Medical School and I have found that this has suited my learning style really well. I would be happy to discuss the pros and cons of applying to different medical schools- applying strategically is key.

My teaching style
My teaching style is laid-back and student-led to enable you to get the most out of your sessions without any added stress. I believe in students playing a more active role in their own learning so my lessons tend to be very interactive.
My past experience
I have tutored pupils aged 6-16 in mathematics, science and English for the last few years. I have also volunteered with In2MedSchool with whom I mentored aspiring future medics and provided advice and guidance with the application process. In addition to this, I have also been an interviewer for HYMS Medicine 2023 entry
