Hi, my name is Inthu and I’m currently studying Dental Hygiene and Therapy at the University of Portsmouth. Having completed tough A-level subjects, achieving A* and 2 A’s, I know what it takes to be a top performing student. I have secured an offer to study postgraduate dentistry, where I had to sit the UCAT exam (I scored 800 on AR and a total score of 2820, Band 2)and therefore I can help you understand the framework on how to achieve your potential in this exam. Im socially confident and can tailor education to students if all backgrounds. Apart from education I am very outgoing and can form good rapport with people, making sure they are able to have trust in their tutor, in order to help them. I can provide advice on applying to university as it is an awkward stage in life and could be difficult.
My teaching style
I prefer one-to-one teaching since it allows the student to be more open about their experiences about the subject or topic in hand. I like being organised with lessons and making sure to only move one when the student is confident. I like a sense of clarity with my students, highlighting their concerns and working on them together.
My past experience
I have a younger sister who I have taught for the 11+ exams. Having successfully passed this exams I know tutor her occasionally on science and maths GCSE.
My Proudest Achievements
Having embarked on a weight loss journey has taught me many skills suck as, dedication and discipline.
Having achieved A* in A-level chemistry made me aware of my competence and ability.
Having successfully enrolled to a dental hygiene and therapy course has opened many doors for me and has helped improve many skills including communication, teamwork and manual dexterity.
