Top-achieving dental student with proven results in GCSE, A-Level, UCAT, and Dentistry Interviews
Hi, I’m Grace – a fourth-year dental student at Cardiff University and a premium tutor on this platform. With over seven years of tutoring experience, I teach a wide range of subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, French, 11+, UCAT, and Dentistry Interviews. My sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging, with a strong focus on active recall and building genuine understanding. Every lesson is tailored to your individual needs, supported with detailed feedback and a variety of learning resources.
My tutoring journey began by supporting children from low socioeconomic backgrounds with GCSE Maths and 11+ preparation. This early experience gave me a real insight into the challenges students face and inspired me to create a teaching style that is both supportive and motivating. I believe in a collaborative approach – working with you to build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve your goals!
My teaching style
I don’t believe in simply lecturing students – I prefer to make lessons interactive. Using recall exercises, guided questioning, and collaborative problem-solving, I encourage students to actively engage with the material and develop long-term retention.
Confidence is at the heart of academic success, so I take the time to work through questions together, ensuring complete understanding before moving forward. After each session, I provide clear, constructive feedback along with additional resources to strengthen learning. I also make myself available for support outside of lessons, so students always feel guided and encouraged.
My past experience
Over the past seven years, I’ve worked with students preparing for 11+, GCSE, and A-Level exams in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and French. I also have a strong record of helping applicants succeed in Dentistry Interviews and UCAT preparation.
I’ve guided students of all abilities, from those building confidence to high-achievers aiming for top grades, and I am proud of my consistent success rate. My goal is always to empower my students—not just to reach their target grades, but to feel confident, capable, and motivated throughout their academic journey.
