7About Me
Hi! My name is Ruhab and Iโm a 4th year student studying Dental Surgery in Leeds. Dental school application & interviews can be a daunting process, especially if you don’t know where to start. Having applied to dental school both as a graduate & undergrad, and having given interviews at three different dental schools, I am familiar with the variety of common interview questions asked and potential mistakes that applicants can make. Previously, I have tutored students online and have also helped dental and medical applicants refine and enhance their personal statements. I can help you familiarise with all things related to dentistry- whether you want to know more about the GDC guidelines or want help brushing up some common dental knowledge or even quick mock interviews, I’ll be happy to guide you on your journey to dental school!
My teaching style
I love connecting with students & making them comfortable, therefore through a student-centred approach I can adapt myself to suit the studentsโ learning where they can benefit maximally & ensure that the session is interactive & enjoyable!
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements has been helping an extremely stressed dental applicant redraft their personal statement. Though we were racing against time, seeing the immediate satisfaction of the student made it all worth it!
Another one is helping a student secure a place on a Dental Hygiene/Therapy course following two years of rejection. With the correct guidance and support from me she was able to get a place onto her dream course in her preferred university!
