My name is Oscar and I’m a very friendly tutor which I think will be helpful because the A-level content is very challenging so the student should feel comfortable in asking me questions on any content that they are stuck on. I also try to make my lessons fun and interactive because I find personally this helps better for understanding and memorising tricky content.
I will be starting a degree in medicine at Hull York this September so when it comes to A- level Chemistry, Biology and Maths I am very knowledgeable and will definitely be able to give you any tips and tricks I used which I think are important and more useful to have a tutor that has just done the exams so the tips are relevant. I also did medicine interviews this year in January time so if you are wanting interview practice then I would be a good choice as well as i received 3/4 offers post-interview.
My lessons are very interactive and personalised for each and every student’s needs. In each lesson, we will focus on a certain topic that the student may struggle with and we will have a thorough dive into the knowledge. At the end of the lesson, I will give helpful homework which will ensure that the information will be retained and consolidated.
I’ve had a lot of experience tutoring GCSE Science and Maths as well as A- level Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Also, I did Biology and Chemistry subject mentoring for year 12 during college.
I think my proudest achievement would be receiving 3 offers to study medicine because I had dedicated a lot of time and effort and for it to all payoff, in the end, made me really proud and the journey I had gone on to get that offer is the reason why it is my proudest achievement.
