Hello, my name is Indee, I have graduated from the University of Nottingham having done the Graduate Entry Medicine course. I am now a Doctor and I have enjoyed tutoring as a medical student. I am more than happy to give you some tips on what worked for me during MMIs as well as give guidance for the preparation of the GAMSAT. In particular I can assist you in the second section, which is the essay writing section. Additionally, I have also volunteered for the MMIs of new applicants and clinical experience as a Doctor. I would love to assist you understand the content taught in Biology (A level and GCSE) and Chemistry (GCSE level) in a friendly and structured manner. Having taken various exams throughout my journey I can also help you with exam techniques. In my free time, I enjoy reading books and looking after my pet Pomeranian dog.
I have assisted in informal teaching sessions in medical school as well as on the wards. My teaching style is very friendly and approachable. I like to teach in a way that works for the students and adjust the teaching style accordingly. I would like to ask the students what they struggle the most with. Subsequently I would like to make a framework to address those weaknesses so that the student both performs well in their exams and also feel more confident.
I have taught several GCSE and A level students informally as a volunteer.
I have volunteered as a Student Ambassador at my university for MMIs
Getting into Graduate Entry Medicine is a good achievement, but graduating and not having failed at any stage despite Covid is also quite admirable.
