1 Week Virtual Work Experience
History Taking in GP & A&E
In this session, you will learn the fundamental principles of conducting history taking and understand with the help of doctors what makes a good history. You will interact with patients and become familiar with taking histories in a multitude of scenarios including GP and A&E.
UCAT Teaching
Today we will give you a full day of teaching on the UCAT Exam delivered by our top 1% tutors giving you a real insight into the exam
Care for patients on simulated ward
You'll get the opportunity to interpret Chest X-Rays, ECGs, look at Blood Reports and by the end of the day you'll be able to run your own ward round as a junior doctor!
Learn how to do A-E Assessments
Today we'll focus on how to deal with emergencies like car accidents, heart attacks and sepsis. You will work alongside doctors and learn the basics of ABCDE and work against the clock to save simulated patient's lives.
UCAS & Personal Statement
Together we can begin your medical application, and work on planning your timeline for the next year, including writing your Personal Statement, choosing medical schools and preparing for interviews.

Both during and after the Medicine Work Experience, we will support you for your whole application! During the week we cover everything, from UCAT to Interviews. After the Medicine Work Experience, you can continue to learn via our fantastic online courses and question banks. We also host regular weekly classes and webinars throughout the year, and you will gain access to your own personal Q&A forum, where you can ask questions throughout the year to our expert medical team!

→ How does this compare to the in person work experience?
The in person Central London work experience is a lot more interactive, hands-on whereas the virtual medicine work experience is more lecture based. Whilst the in person medicine work experience costs more, it provides much more value. If you are interested in the in person work experience instead of the virtual work experience, we can arrange some complimentary hours of tuition as well.
→ What time will the virtual medicine work experience take place?
We will be delivering the sessions between 9am-3pm UK Time which should be suitable for your time zone. In case you need to leave early / come late you will be able to see the recordings.
→ What is the cancellation policy?
The virtual medicine work experience week is non-refundable once booked. This is because we have to plan for all logistics for the program.
→ How old does my child have to be to attend this?
We recommend the virtual medical work experience to anyone aged 14-25. This means any child in Year 9 or above or any graduate entry applicant.
→ Do I have to live in the UK to do this?
Absolutely not! The virtual medicine work experience is delivered online so anyone can attend from around the world!
→How many days does the Virtual Medicine Work Experience run for?
The work experience runs for 5 days. Each day begins at 9am and will end around 3pm, however an exact timetable will be sent to you beforehand.
→ Will Medic Mind provide certificates for the week?
Absolutely. All students will be given a certificate to evidence their participation in the course which will be important for their UCAS application as many universities will ask for proof.
