A summer school medicine programme is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career as a medical professional. The programme provides an opportunity for students to learn about various aspects of the medical profession, including medical ethics, anatomy, and clinical skills.

The Medicine Summer School UK 2023 will run for 5 full days. In each day, we will cover a different theme, with interspersed breaks throughout. Themes include Careers in Medicine, UCAT, Interviews, BMAT, Personal Statement, UCAS, Medical Schools, Work Experience. Each day begins at 9am and will end around 3.30pm, however an exact timetable will be sent to you beforehand.

We are flexible, so please contact us and we can discuss a plan. For example, if you cannot attend one of our summer schools for medicine, we could instead put you on our UCAT, BMAT, Interview Live Course Days spread over a few weeks, and then include a 1-1 tutoring package. Yes! We get many dental students and veterinary students on our courses. The teaching for themes such as Interview and Personal Statement are applicable to all parts of the dentistry and veterinary interviews. During the BMAT sessions, we will run other alternative workshops for students not sitting the BMAT.

Attending this medicine 2023 summer school provides the perfect platform to kick start your medicine, dentistry or veterinary application. You will gain an in-depth insight into the admissions tests, interviews and all other aspects of the application. We will work on planning the Personal Statement, show you the key dates in the application timeline, and also give you an opportunity to speak to doctors and medical students who can share their experiences.

Some NHS trusts provide aspiring medical students with work placements or work experience in hospitals and medical settings. However, these medical work placements are very competitive and it is worth bearing in mind that you will need to enquire early. While Medic Mind's medicine summer school is not free, we do offer both hands-on practical medical experience AND medical school application support including UCAT and medical interviews. This year the Medicine Summer School 2023 is face to face in Central London We use several interactive learning tools to keep the sessions interactive, including competition quizzes, small group sessions, PBL learning and more.

With the 1-1 schemes, we match you up with a personal tutor and mentor. They will teach you throughout your application. For example, you may use 40 hours of tutoring over 6 months, covering 20 hours of UCAT and 20 hours of interview.
