Hi! I am a second year dental student at Cardiff university. I am keen to pass on any tips and tricks that I have discovered when applying for university. As I was recently in your position, I realise how stressful it can be – but that is why I am here. My main aim is make sure you are confident in your own abilities – whether it is for interviews, UCAT or A level/GCSEs, with some guidance and structure I can hopefully make the process smooth sailing and less stressful. Knowing where to start can be its own problem, so with a clean plan that is tailored for you and breaking it down into small sections will make it all more manageable. It sounds clichรฉ but all anyone is asking is for you to be yourself – so lets show them the best version of you! Let me know if you gave any questions – I will always be happy to help with anything ๐
I think it is difficult to pinpoint just one teaching style because it should be tailored and adapted for the individual student. The structure is normally teaching than practice – integrated questions and extra questions for home – because practice makes perfect! However, I focus on what the student wants to work on – this could be slowly working through examples together or more of a broad overview, but either way utilising the time that will be most beneficial for them.
Previous mentoring/teaching younger students in my school – both GSCS/A Level for 5 years.
A Level and GCSE grades, UCAT score, Gold dofe, dancing and acting achievements, performing in the West End.
