Hi there! My name is Zunaira Saeed and I am a Junior Doctor. I have been tutoring students for Medical Interviews, A-levels, and GCSEs for about 10 years now. I also teach GAMSAT, BMAT and Interviews for Australian Medical Universities. At A-Levels, I achieved 2 A* in Biology and Chemistry and A in Physics. At GCSEs, I secured 7A*1A. My lessons are personalized to the individual student according to their requirements with special focus on their weaknesses and I give my students enough time until they are able to clear their concepts and improve before we move on to the next topic. Recently, one of my students got 2 offers from Queen Mary and Sheffield and another received an offer from UEA. My aim is to contribute to Medic Mind’s goal of helping students get through the doors of medical school through my knowledge and teaching skills. My students have always been satisfied with their final results and I hope that I can meet your expectations and that you will have a wonderful learning experience with me.

GAMSAT
For GAMSAT preparation, if you are a beginner we will start from the structure of the GAMSAT, resources and study plan. For Section 1, we will go over the 7 different types of source materials that can come up in the exam such as fiction texts, non-fiction texts, cartoons, poetry etc. and the different styles of questions that can come up from these sources. Section 2 is practice, knowledge, grammar and practice. You will learn what the examiners are looking for in Task A and Task B, how to structure your essays, get feedback on your work and will be provided model answers for the previous GAMSAT past papers.
Section 3 might seem challenging particularly if you do not have a science background or it has been many years since your A Levels or university degree. The best strategy is focused preparation using the ACER booklets making sure that the most tested topics are covered very well. For example, review organic chemistry, then attempt questions on the topic to grasp the question style, target the preparation, review again and tackle more questions.
A level/ GCSE
My teaching involves explaining each and every topic given in the syllabus (e.g. for GCSE Biology) followed by solving past papers. I believe that past papers are the key to ace the exams so I teach my students how to attempt past papers according to marking scheme and make sure that they have practiced well enough before their final exams. My students get their work checked regularly with feedback on their progress and how they can further improve their preparation.
