1About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Netra and I am junior doctor and graduate the University of Leicester. Congratulations to getting through to the interview stage! As someone who has gone through the process myself, I completely understand the worries that may come alongside preparing for the interview. For this reason, I am keen to help you tick off the final stage of getting through to your chosen university with all the help and guidance that you will need. I am a passionate and organised tutor and invest a lot of research, time and advice to the students I help (thus the reason for not taking on a lot of them at a time). I can help in both panel and MMI style interviews and have been successful in both styles myself. I am a friendly, supportive and observant tutor and hope to hear from you soon to get started on your journey towards medicine!
My teaching style
My teaching approach is flexible and varied depending on the student however for the most part, it follows a basic guideline as below:
1. Research into type of interview to prepare for (E.G. panel or MMI)
2. Preparation work (e.g. some universities ask you to prepare something beforehand)
3. Common interview questions (preparing classic medicine questions that come up all the time)
4. Template format (knowing how to prepare for any type of question that may come up)
5. Practice interviews – mock style with constructive feedback.
My past experience
I have a vast range of teaching experience and have also completed a teaching course at my university. I have been a mentor for teaching GCSE, A level, UCAT, interview preparation and currently I am a mentor for medical students in the year below me – supporting and providing tuition in any modules that they may be struggling with.
My Proudest Achievements
I received 1st prize in an anatomy teaching competition held by my university in which we had to find a creative way to teach an anatomical concept. I won the competition as well as a £100 cash prize.
