8About Me
Hello! I’m Hadiya, a first year med student and future bionics researcher! Over the past two years, I’ve taken (and passed!) several medical admissions tests including the IMAT in search of the best university for me.
The medical admissions process seems very daunting, especially when you’re already dealing with high school- but it doesn’t have to be, and I can guide you through the process! All it takes is persistence and someone who’s already gone through it to make it easier.
My lessons take into account your own personal and educational background, as well as my own observations regarding what you’re responding best to! I have experience tutoring across many educational backgrounds, including the UK A-Level, Canadian and American systems. I’m confident we can conquer your educational goals together!
My teaching style
I like to have a constant flow of communication between myself and the tutee! I check up on concepts during lessons with practice questions, or via active recall, to ensure the two of us are on the same page. I try to create an environment conducive to questions so my students are comfortable asking me anything they’re confused about!
My past experience
Yes! I have over 3 years of experience tutoring A Level chemistry and physics, as well as chemistry according to the Canadian high school curriculum. I have also tutored for the NMDCAT and the IMAT, both online and in-person!
My Proudest Achievements
I’m very proud of the fact that after I missed the IMAT 2023 cutoff (non-EU, Bologna) by less than a single point, I didn’t give up! Instead, I tailored my strategy and aced the 2024 IMAT- and I’m confident I can help you do so too!
