I am a fifth year medical student and a biomedical science graduate. I am very keen on teaching and transferring whatever I have learnt in a very clear and interactive manner.
I have listed below some of my past experiences in leadership and ways I got involved within my university community.
โ Elected to be the A&E Shift Coordinator for the Emergency Society in the
university, organising shadowing opportunities for students through connecting
with the staff of the hospital.
โ I love dancing and music, and have participated in annual shows with fellow students, and led teams in national competitions.
โ Chosen to be a student ambassador, representing the university in various
events within and also in public.
โ Appointed as a learning advocate to younger years and staff.
โ Selected as the secretary for the national committee of Teddy Bear Hospital in
the UK, communicating with pharmaceutical companies and raising awareness
of the hospital environment for children.
โ Part of the Student Government Association within the medical school, assisting
in holding events for the students and also communicating with the staff.
I aim to teach whatever is required in a great detail and also making sure that the student understands what is being taught. My aim is to make my sessions very interactive with the student, asking questions and also allowing them to have an active part in the session rather than just listening to me just teach. My way of teaching is application based, with providing the information in the most appropriate detail, but also applying this information in various questions which makes the student ready for their exams and used to the questions expected to be asked. I hope this short description explains my way of teaching
of being very engaging whatever the subject and making sure the student achieves the best result
through methodical understanding and helping them achieve their full potential through learning
suited to their needs.
I have tutored students for their 11+ (secondary school) exams and GCSE (year 11)
exams, in relation to academics. I was also a tutor of human anatomy for two
years during my education at St George’s, University of London, teaching students in the younger years.
One of my recent achievements was obtaining the highest marks within the cohort in my anatomy course during the year. As a result, I was chosen to take part in the Golden Scapula, a national anatomy competition between universities in Poland, where I had achieved first place. During my schooling years, I received the Jack Petchey award in recognition to my contributions in charity fundraising events.
