First class biochemistry graduate now studying a medical masters with a passion for science to share. I have taught students for the last five years, receiving only positive feedback. My ability to clearly explain what I learn has been praised during this time and resulted in my election as a chemistry ambassador in sixth form and biochemistry representative at Bristol University. With students of all ages, I am practiced adapting dialect for diverse audiences. continued tutoring throughout my various ventures over the past 6 years and so have a well up-to date knowledge built over many years of experience and have consolidated my specification knowledge.
I have several long-term students, demonstrating the sold rapport I have built. I manage my time appropriately and appreciate the importance of clear organisation.
Having completed A-levels recently, I am up to date with the content and have some great revision tips and tricks. I have a multitude of resources such as posters and readily made flashcards that I produced myself and cover all the key points for every subject, allowing me to achieve three A*s at A-level. Hopefully they will do the same for others.
Each student has been a very different individual, with varying goals, and my reviews affect my ability to alter lessons to fit to each student. I have always enjoyed exploring difficult concepts and explaining them to others and believe this has led me to develop key skills in explaining my way of thinking to others.
I have 7 years tutoring. 5 online and 2 in person in sixth form colleges.
• Grade 8 pianist – reflects my dedication to tasks I take on.
• Mountaineering and rock climbing – which allow me to manage stress in order to perform to the best of my ability when at work.
• Charity cycle challenges including Lands End to John O’Groats – which have taught me to be resilient and learn from my mistakes.
• Leading science projects for a sixth form college which gave me confidence in public speaking.
• Travelling – I have spent the past two years travelling and working abroad in areas from hospitality to tutoring. This has made me very comfortable with moving to all areas of the world and meeting people from all walks of life. It is something I would like to continue to do in with career.
• Hiking challenges including the Gold DofE and Yorkshire 3 peaks – which left me with the ability to integrate naturally into any team.
