8About Me
Hi My name is Jainish and I’m a graduate applicant to dentistry. My previous degree is in Biomedical Sciences at Newcastle. I applied to dentistry as a graduate application so iv gone through the application cycle multiple times, giving me plenty of experience and skills to help you with your own application journey! I am proficient in tutoring as I have tutored for the last 2 years helping several students achieve their aspirational grades as well as providing students with tips and tricks for medicine / dentistry applications. My approach with the application process will help you ensure you are equipped with sufficient knowledge and expertise to put yourself in the best possible chance of acing the applications! Additionally, I am currently the student ambassador for dentistry at QMUL and Year group representative for BDS1.
Fun Fact about me is that I travelled to 15 countries in space of 3 months.
My teaching style
Being a kinesthetic learner myself, my style of teaching revolves around interacting with the student as much as possible to ensure active recall and spaced repetition in each lesson. With my previous tutoring experiences I have honed myself to utilise a hybrid teaching style which caters for each students individuals needs by adapting to their preferences.
My past experience
I have previous tutoring experience in teaching alevel biology, chemistry and maths for a different organisation. Additionally, I have volunteered during the pandemic to tutor children in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Maths. These experiences have allowed me to become proficient in tutoring and honed my adaptability skills for different age groups and student skill level.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is graduating from Biomedical Sciences and receiving an offer to study my dream course of dentistry after a 4 year wait!
