2About Me
Hi! I am Heral, a fourth year medical student at Edge Hill University. I have also completed a foundation year for medicine at Edge Hill University. Currently, I am in my clinical years, rotating through different specialities. If you have any questions about my experiences during our meetings, feel free to ask.
Not too long ago, when applying for medicine, it seemed like this daunting process; and from having minimal knowledge or contacts in the medical field the idea of even being accepted into medicine seemed impossible. However, as one of the tutors on Medic Mind, I am here to support your throughout every step of your journey with my experience and knowledge. Hopefully, helping you making your dream into a reality.
By working with me, I hope to help you prepare for your interviews, not just in terms of content but as a learner. I hope by working together, we can make you’re a confident individual who will stand out in your interviews. My aim is to support you throughout this process alongside helping you achieve your goals.
My teaching style
My teaching style is more practical, I will be using questions and conducting practice interviews in order to prepare you for your actual interviews. We will focus on areas of weakness which are identified by yourself and in our sessions collectiveness.
My past experience
In second year of college, I tutored first year A level students in Biology. I received a tutor of the year award.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my biggest achievements was getting into medical school and my journey being recorded in The Times newspaper. As someone who has come from a relatively disadvantaged background and having minimal support and contacts in medicine, getting into medical school seemed like an unachievable concept that would truly remain as a dream. My dream finally become a reality in the summer of 2019 and I haven’t looked back since.
Another proud moment was co-founding the Edge Hill Medical Society and becoming co-president for 2 consecutive years.
Currently, I am the social media manager of the Edge Hill Surgical Society.
