Hello! My name is Parisa and I’m a first year medical student studying at the University of Warwick.
I started my educational journey at the University of Nottingham, where I obtained a first class honours undergraduate degree in Neuroscience. In my final year, I decided to apply for Graduate Entry Medicine, and am now studying at Warwick.
I have been mentoring and advising students for over 3 years at both school and university level. This continuous development of my communication and teaching skills has helped my mentees grow and improve.
I also have a lot of practical experience, having worked part time in the NHS as an Imaging Assistant and volunteered at COVID vaccination sites. I thereby have been close to the implementation of NHS values in the workplace.
In my free time I enjoy playing racket sports such as tennis and badminton, and the piano!
As a teacher I am very adaptable, and adjust the structure of the lesson to the student and their feedback. I provide practical advice help improve not only the content of interview answers, but also the style in which they are delivered. This therefore aids pupils to develop clear concise interview answers.
I have 3 years of mentoring experience, both at school and university level
Creating, leading and training an orchestra during my final year of school as part of a competition – it was very rewarding and I won a prize for best musical performance.
