5About Me
Hello and welcome to Medic Mind! My name is Amir and I am a 4th year medical student at St George’s university of London, which is a medical specialty university. After A-levels I did an undergraduate degree in Biomedicine, where I earned the position of the top 6% of my uni. Thus after a rigorous interview process I was awarded an offer to transfer directly into the 3rd year of medicine at St Georges, this transfer program is one of the last prestigious transfer schemes in the UK.
Like thousands of students each year, I was not able to enter Medicine initially after A-levels. This meant I had to find longer and more difficult alternative routes. However these experiences, alongside others, allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the holistic approach required to make a successful medical candidate. Therefore if chosen as your tutor, I can help you navigate the potholes that you may encounter in your revision process, interviews or whilst taking the exam.

My teaching style
As a tutor, I do not believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach, and therefore I am very adaptable and happy to be guided by students and parents to help create you a tailored lesson that is suitable for each individual student.
A typical lesson includes plenty of practice questions incorporated into the teaching, timed mocks, working together through any areas of weakness and any other general support required.
My main speciality is tutoring for St George’s Medical interviews and therefore my lessons will be particularly suitable for Graduate students and St George’s candidates
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement was being selected for the St George’s transfer program. I obtained this highly sought after and competitive achievement through high performance as an undergraduate and a tough interview process. This allowed me to bypass the first 2 years of medicine and move straight into the clinical years where I am now close to finishing medical school.
