Hi!
I’m Alvin, a third year graduate entry medical student at the University of Warwick. I also studied Biomedical sciences at Warwick (I know, I apparently love the midlands). I’ve had a couple applications to get into med school so I’m more than familiar with the process and stresses of applying. I’m sure I can help with any concerns or issues you may have in your application process. I also interviewed at an undergraduate university course, so have experience in both. My strengths lie in work experience and applying this to personal statements and interviews as I have worked in the hospital and in healthcare since 18, I did well in applying aspects of my work experience to a wide range of strengths and weaknesses when being interviewed. I believe this all came from preparation and practice, something I am more than willing to help with for others.
I find it useful working collaboratively, I struggle to sit in lectures and listen if they aren’t engaging. Hence, I teach how I would like to be taught, with lots of interaction and questions. I would likely prepare material beforehand and engage with the student to identify their areas of greatest need.
