Hello there,
I’m Elouise and this is why I want to be your MedicMind tutor.
Coming from a disadvantaged childhood in and out of care, I quickly realised how difficult it is to make something of yourself, but I believe anyone can and anyone will.
Achievements:
– 4 years of clinical experience in the dental practice
– Promoted to Nurse Manager at only 18 years of age
– Promoted to seeing my own patients as Treatment Coordinator
– Was 1 of only 4 students accepted onto the prestigious UoL Foundation to Dentistry programme.
The Foundation Programme is a highly competitive undergraduate aimed at hard-working individuals who do not come from massively academic backgrounds.
The programme condenses 2 years of A-Levels: Biology, Chemistry, Health studies and Professional studies, all of A* standard into only 20 teaching weeks.
Additionally, the programme is one of a kind and is only offered at the University of Liverpool. There are thousands of applications for this course nationally and internationally every year and I was very lucky to be selected.
Students who I believe would benefit most from my tuition:
– Students from minority/disadvantaged backgrounds looking to study Dentistry/Dental Therapy.
– Students who have been out of education for a long time and are interested in applying for the Foundation to Dentistry/Medicine/Veterinary programme at University of Liverpool.
– Students currently studying Biology/Chemistry GCSE or A-Level and want to complete work to A* degree standard in preparation for Med/Vet/Dent at University.
If you think we would be a good fit, let me know!
Good luck to everyone,
Elouise
GCSE/A-Level Biology & Chemistry: Hybrid learning styles, multiple forms of active recall, exam technique practice and demonstration.
Adaptive, if there’s something you like best or like least, let me know and we can incorporate this into our sessions.
Four years of Dental Nurse management – I was responsible for four years teaching and training up apprentice dental nurses to be able to complete their four exams and EPA exams to be registered with the General Dental Council.
My younger brother (15) also asked for my help writing a Personal Statement, and with help for an interview for a scholarship provided by University of Liverpool to study Microbiology. We were thrilled to learn he had been accepted on a conditional offer for this scholarship provided he passes his GCSE’s and A-Levels.
I am most proud of being the first member of my family to go to University, and not only that, but to do Dentistry after having a very disadvantaged childhood. My most proud moment will be the day I graduate and can provide the same support I never had for my siblings.
