10About Me
Hi! I’m Shivang, I’m currently a second year medic at UCL. As someone who has been exactly in your shoes not so long ago, I understand how overwhelming it can seem – but I look forward to helping you every step of the way in your preparation.
I would say I’ve done fairly well academically, getting all A*s at GCSE and A Levels, but that is not what makes the perfect tutor. My tutoring experience has mainly revolved around GCSE and A Level students, helping them out with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths. I’ve also tutored tens of students for the UCAT and medicine interview preparations, so I can help you get the results you need!
My teaching mantra is tailored around the student, as each student is unique, and this way it makes the learning more fun. Different students understand things differently, and so I love to approach questions from different angles until it finally ‘clicks’.
My teaching style
Most my classes start with the basics & the fundamentals, which sort of lay the foundation for the entire lesson. This then progresses to wider application of the material, recapping any areas the student struggles with and finally, talking through practice questions and exam technique.
The one thing I always tell my students is to always ask questions! You can ask me anything multiple times and I would still be happy to go over it. This is how we discover gaps in your learning and it makes the entire teaching more efficient.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements, academically, would probably be gaining the highest marks in the country for A Level Biology & Chemistry, and getting into medical school as an international student.
Non-academically, my proudest achievement would be being able to cook poached eggs without breaking them 🙂
