My teaching style

I am extremely passionate about building confidence of any students that I teach, because I think that if a student believes in themselves, they have already made huge improvements. This is particularly true during interviews for university. I’ll be motivational and use interview- style questions throughout each session, for Vet applicants, as well as giving immediate feedback on their answers so they know exactly how to improve. They key for Veterinary Interviews is repetition and practice, therefore I will utilise the time in our sessions so that the applicant can become more confident in themselves and their answers.
For science lessons, at each session will be able to pick a topic that they would prefer to focus on. I aim to use a combination of explaining content and do lots of exam questions through every lesson, so students can apply their knowledge immediately . I can offer support on some techniques I used to remember certain processes, and the crazy mnemonics I created. I take a relaxed approach to teaching as I feel that this creates an environment where the student can ask absolutely any question. I also tell my students that they can contact me via WhatsApp at any time with questions they have 🙂
