Edge Hill University (Foundation Year)
Edge Hill University welcomed its very first medical students in 2019. This brand new medical school offers modern state-of-the-art facilities including a simulation suite and clinical skills labs. The course takes a hybrid case-based and team-based learning approach with a spiral curriculum. Clinical placements take place across the North West of England within a range of clinical settings.
Edge Hill place emphasis on UCAT score when selecting for interview, therefore it’s a great choice for applicants meeting the minimum academic requirements but who also have a strong UCAT score.

Edge Hill is located in Ormskirk, a small market town in the North West near to Liverpool and Manchester. Ormskirk is a beautiful town with all the conveniences you need. The University is campus based with all facilities located together, making things easy to reach. While the town is small, Liverpool is a short trip away making it ideal for weekend trips to the city!
|Social life||Despite being a new medical school, Edge Hill have already founded their own Medical Society providing plenty of additional academic opportunities. There are over 60 other societies spanning a wide range of sports and activities.|

All applicants meeting minimum academic requirements will be ranked on UCAT Score. A threshold for interview invitation will be set, depending on the statistics of applicants in that cohort. Any candidate with SJT Band 4 will be rejected.

While Biology and Chemistry are both required at grade B or above, where Grade A* is achieved in either Biology or Chemistry (or both Biology and Chemistry), the third A Level subject will be accepted at Grade C.
