Top GAMSAT Practice Questions
Practicing questions is one of the most vital part in preparing for the GAMSAT. The GAMSAT is an exam that tests your ability to interpret information rather than rote learn facts. The question styles are different to many exams you will have sat before and becoming familiar by practicing extracting information from example questions is vital to improve your GAMSAT score.
For these reasons, it’s important to practice questions and ensure you use the best resources that replicate the exam well. This article will describe the best sources of GAMSAT practice questions to help you prepare for the exam.
1. ACER
Every student preparing to sit the GAMSAT should definitely practice the official ACER questions. These are the only official GAMSAT practice questions and are therefore the most similar to the actual exam. There are three practice tests and various sample questions. The correct answer choices are provided at the end of the booklet, if you need any further help with the solutions, feel free to ask one of our tutors. I also recommend that as you approach the exam, begin timing yourself whilst practising questions to allow you to analyse your time management.

3. Griffiths GAMSAT Review
Griffiths GAMSAT review also provide a multitude of questions, it consists of 6 books and covers each of the GAMSAT sections. It costs £147 for the complete set, and can be purchased from here .

4. Ultimate GAMSAT Guide
This textbook provides 2 full GAMSAT test papers with worked solutions. Additionally, it provides the relevant theory for the science disciplines so it’s worth checking out if you also require notes and theory. It costs approximately £27 and can be purchased here.
5. Des O’Neill
The Des O’Neill GAMSAT company has retired but their question books are still available online and in print format. The questions are similar to the GAMSAT in that they test your ability to interpret information. They are not as good as the ACER questions but they are very well known amongst GAMSAT students and were one of the first preparation courses. You can find them on eBay and Gumtree.

An A-level standard is recommended for the science disciplines and therefore you may be using an A-level textbook to understand the theory. These textbooks include questions at the end of each chapter to test your knowledge. While they might not reflect the GAMSAT style of questions, these can be useful to test your understanding and knowledge.
