How to Register for the UCAT
The UCAT registration process is entirely online. You can register through the UCAT Consortium website. To register, you will need to provide some personal information, including your legal name, contact details, and date of birth as it appears on your passport or driving license. After registering, wait for 24 hours to receive a confirmation email with your password.
You will also need to upload a passport-style photograph, which will be used to verify your identity on test day.
When you register, you will need to select a testing date, time, and location. Testing is available at several locations across the UK, including major cities like London, Manchester, and Edinburgh. Choose a convenient location and book your test date as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
It’s important to note that the UCAT test is in high demand, so it’s best to book your test as soon as possible to secure your preferred test date and location. Once you’ve booked your test, you’ll receive a confirmation email, which will include all the details you need to know about your test, including the time and location.

What Does the Test Cost?
The UCAT test fee for 2024 is £70 for students taking the test in the UK and £115 for students taking the test in other countries. The fee covers the cost of the test, as well as access to the official UCAT practice materials.
If you’re applying for the UCAT bursary scheme, you may be eligible for a fee waiver, which will cover the cost of your test. However, it’s worth noting that the bursary scheme is only available to students who meet specific eligibility criteria.
Which dates should I book for UCAT 2024?
It is essential to book your UCAT test date and time as early as possible to ensure that you get your preferred option. Some testing centres are more popular than others, and slots can fill up quickly.
There are students who prefer to take their UCAT exam early on in the test cycle. By doing so, they can have more time during the summer to concentrate on other parts of the admissions process, like work experience and Personal Statement.
On the other hand, some opt for a later test date because they require additional UCAT preparation time or because they have other commitments, such as a holiday. The test organisers advise candidates to choose an early test date to avoid any inconvenience caused by unforeseen circumstances, such as falling ill in the days leading up to the test.
You can view the available dates and times when you register and choose a time that suits you best. It’s also worth considering what time of day you will be most alert and focused. For example, if you are not a morning person, choosing a later testing slot might be best.
